Atypical cells with prominent Nucleoli
This is a feature of malignancy. Special stains may be necessary to determine the cell of origin, Melanomas may commonly show this feature and some lymphomas and histiocytes in Rosai- Dorfman disease tend to have larger nuclei and more prominent nucleoli than in other histiocytoses.
